Job summary

Glen Eira City Council seeks an experienced Coordinator Cyber Defence to lead cyber security improvements and strengthen the Council's security posture. You will provide credible leadership, combine deep technical knowledge with strategic thinking, and build strong relationships across the organisation.

You will set priorities, guide specialists and external providers, and offer practical advice to senior leaders on complex security challenges, ensuring council-wide cyber resilience.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in cyber security operations or incident response within a complex organisation.
• Ability to set priorities and guide delivery across multiple teams.
• Strong communication skills to explain risks to non-technical audiences.
• Experience building relationships with senior leaders and staff.
