Job summary

Knox City Council is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join the Chief Information Office in Wantirna South. You will protect data, manage incidents, and strengthen security controls across projects.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements and is classified as Band 7 with a salary range above. As part of the team, you will contribute to audits, risk management and awareness initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders and external providers to improve security across Council information

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in cyber security or a related discipline with several years of experience.
• Extensive experience in networking, cloud technologies and infrastructure design.
• Experience with enterprise cyber security technologies including endpoint, email/web security, vulnerability management and SIEM.

Responsibilities

• Protect Council’s data, infrastructure, applications and platforms.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents.
• Identify vulnerabilities and drive continuous improvement of the cyber security posture.
• Provide specialist advice and implement security controls across projects and lifecycle.
• Contribute to security audits, compliance monitoring and third-party risk management.
