Job summary

PATH4 Group is seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Broker to join our stable, process-driven international freight forwarder. You will ensure accurate and compliant clearance of import and export shipments while delivering high-level client service.

In this role you will work across EDI declarations, tariff classifications, FTA eligibility, duties and taxes, and liaise with ABF, carriers and biosecurity authorities.

Qualifications

• Licensed Australian Customs Broker with Australian accreditation.
• Experience in freight forwarding or customs brokerage.
• Knowledge of Australian customs legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience using EDI systems and CargoWise.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge import/export declarations via EDI.
• Apply accurate tariff classifications and determine customs value and origin.
• Assess Free Trade Agreement (FTA) eligibility and concessions.
• Calculate duties, GST, and applicable charges.
• Liaise with Australian Border Force (ABF), freight forwarders, shipping lines, and biosecurity authorities.
• Maintain, complete and audit-ready documentation.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to clients.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
