Job summary

City of Ballarat is seeking a permanent Full Time Customer Service Tree Inspector to assess trees presenting risk to the community and assets. You will handle service requests, conduct detailed inspections, identify defects, report findings, and create work orders in a timely manner.

The role requires a Victorian driver's license, arboriculture knowledge, and ability to communicate effectively with residents and work with operational teams.

Permanent Full Time Position Band 4 + Industry allowance $37.60 per hour plus super

About the role

The Customer Service Tree Inspector will action customer service requests relating to City of Ballarat trees that present a risk to community, private infrastructure or council assets. This will involve detailed tree assessment, defect identification, reporting and job creation as well as responding in a professional and timely manner to community tree requests.

About you

• A current Victorian driver’s license
• well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with our residents
• The ability to work with other Operational teams and provide condition and defect inspections for tree related issues
• Relevant arboriculture certification and in field experience
• Technical knowledge of asset management systems and data registers
