Job summary

City of Ballarat is seeking a permanent full-time Tree Inspector to action customer service requests relating to Council trees that present risks to the community, private infrastructure or assets. The role involves detailed tree assessment, defect identification, reporting and creating jobs, with a focus on professional and timely responses to residents.

You will need a Victorian driver’s license, strong communication skills, and arboriculture certification with field experience.

Qualifications

• Band 4 + Industry allowance $37.60 per hour plus super

About the role

The Customer Service Tree Inspector will action customer service requests relating to City of Ballarat trees that present a risk to community, private infrastructure or council assets. This will involve detailed tree assessment, defect identification, reporting and job creation as well as responding in a professional and timely manner to community tree requests.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

• A current Victorian driver’s license
• well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with our residents
• The ability to work with other Operational teams and provide condition and defect inspections for tree related issues
• Relevant arboriculture certification and in field experience
• Technical knowledge of asset management systems and data registers
