Job summary

RX Plastics T/A RX Rims is seeking a Customer Service Team Support Officer in Geebung, Brisbane. This full-time permanent role serves as a key contact for customers across RX Rims, delivering prompt, professional service and accurate order and delivery information.

You will collaborate with Despatch, Sales, Production and Administration to keep customers informed and support reliable, on-time deliveries, handling orders, tracking shipments and providing product details from RX catalogues.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in customer service or order processing.
• Experience in manufacturing/plastics beneficial.
• ERP system experience preferred (Odoo).

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming customer calls and emails promptly.
• Respond to ETA and order-status enquiries, liaising with Despatch.
• Provide delivery, carrier and consignment note details and record updates in Odoo.
• Inform customers of delivery changes or delays and escalate delays if needed.
• Provide product information using RX catalogues and product specs, refer technical queries to Sales Manager.
• Capture quote requests and refer large-volume enquiries to Sales.
• Enter and manage sales orders in Odoo with accuracy.
• Check MOQ and other minimum-order requirements and request amendments as needed.
• Ensure orders are confirmed for high-risk or long-distance deliveries and record confirmations.
• Provide copies of invoices on request and refer payment queries to Head Office Accounts.

Job description

Join RX Plastics T/A RX Rims as a Customer Service Team Support Officer, based in Geebung. This full-time, permanent role is a key point of contact for customers across RX Rims, helping provide prompt, professional service and accurate order and delivery information. Working closely with Despatch, Sales, Production and Administration, you'll help keep customers informed and support reliable, on-time deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Answering incoming customer calls and emails promptly and professionally
• Responding to ETA and order-status enquiries, liaising with Despatch and following up with customers when updates become available
• Providing delivery, carrier and consignment note details as soon as external transport is booked, and recording customer communications in Odoo
• Keeping customers informed of delivery changes or delays and escalating delays in obtaining ETA information to the Senior Administrator
• Providing general product information using RX catalogues and product specification sheets, and referring technical enquiries to the appropriate Sales Manager
• Capturing quote requests and customer requirements; referring large-volume enquiries to Sales and not providing quotes over the phone
• Entering and managing sales orders accurately in Odoo, checking product codes, quantities, delivery dates, site delivery addresses, invoice dates and customer PO details
• Checking minimum order quantity (MOQ), FIS and other minimum-order requirements, and asking customers to amend orders where required
• Ensuring orders over a certain amount, or orders going to distant locations or site deliveries, are confirmed by the customer by email or phone before proceeding, and recording the confirmation
• Providing copies of invoices on request and referring statement requests, supplier payment enquiries and payment disputes to the relevant Head Office Accounts team

About you

• At least two years' experience in customer service, sales support or order processing, ideally in manufacturing, plastics, irrigation, agricultural, plumbing or industrial supply
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a confident, professional phone manner
• Experience using an ERP system; Odoo experience is highly regarded
• Accurate data entry, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of enquiries
• Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and follow through
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel and Teams
• Ability to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams in a fast-paced environment
• Australian work rights are required for this position
• Knowledge of poly/PVC pipe, hose, risers and fittings, product specifications, freight or despatch coordination would be an advantage
