Job summary

Cassowary Coast Regional Council seeks two Customer Service Officers for the Tully Library, with one ongoing full-time and one ongoing part-time position. You will deliver friendly customer service across channels, handle inquiries and complaints, and perform cash handling and admin tasks.

Based in Tully with region-wide coverage. Qualifications include Year 12 or equivalent, strong customer service, cash handling, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Year 12 or equivalent knowledge and relevant administration experience.
• Strong customer service and cash-handling skills.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Competency in Microsoft Office and other digital systems.
• Strong organisational skills, confidentiality and a current Queensland C Class driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional and responsive customer service across telephone, face-to-face and other service channels.
• Manage customer enquiries, requests and complaints through to satisfactory resolution.
• Process customer requests, receipting and other administrative transactions accurately.
• Undertake cash handling and complete end-of-day reconciliations.
• Build positive working relationships and provide customer service support across Council locations as required.
