Job summary

The Hills Shire Council is seeking a Customer Service Officer for Library Services on an as-and-when-needed basis. The role is based at Vinegar Hill Memorial Library and Box Hill Satellite Library, with occasional shifts at other branches, including evenings and weekends.

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our Library Services team as a Customer Service Officer, on a “as-and-when needed” basis. The successful candidate will have exemplary customer service skills and enjoy interacting with community members of different ages, abilities and cultures.

What does this role look like:

• Provide exceptional customer service to library users.
• Assist customers with the use of library resources and technology
• Assist in the delivery of programs and activities.
• This position is based at Vinegar Hill Memorial Library at Rouse Hill and Box Hill Satellite Library, however the successful candidate will be required to work at any branch of The Hills Shire Library Service including evenings and weekends.

What are we seeking in our new team members:

• HSC or equivalent
• Driver License (Class C – NSW) and A valid Working with Children Check
• Experience in a high volume, fast paced customer service environment.

A salary of $50.65 per hour, including casual loading (excluding superannuation), paid weekly. Opportunities for training to keep your skills up to date.
