Job summary

Allied Pinnacle is a long-standing Australian flour producer and distributor. The Customer Service Representative role is based at the Macquarie Park head office on a fixed-term basis for 12 months, supporting customers with orders, inquiries and issues.

You will work within a collaborative team, maintain CRM records, and help drive customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem solving, with hybrid work options and staff wellbeing support.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online portals.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints; escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, and Production to improve customer experience.
  • Keep accurate CRM records of all interactions and transactions.
  • Meet performance targets like response time, satisfaction ratings, and order accuracy.

An opportunity currently exists for a Customer Service Representative, based at our Head Office in Macquarie Park, on a fixed term basis for 12 months. The purpose of the role at Allied Pinnacle is to act as the essential link between customers and the business, ensuring seamless communication, high-quality support, and a positive customer experience across every interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage High-Volume Customer Orders Efficiently.

  • Process orders, returns, credits, invoices, and modifications quickly and accurately to meet customer needs.

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online portals, providing timely, accurate, and friendly assistance.

  • Investigate and resolve complaints; escalated complex issues to relevant teams as needed.

  • Complaint handling related to delivery, product quality, or order discrepancies.

  • Identify customer needs, upsell suitable products, and support the sales team by generating leads where appropriate.

  • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge to accurately answer customer queries and guide them through solutions.

  • Keep accurate CRM records of all customer interactions, transactions, and follow-ups.

  • Maintain quality & compliance standards: ensure customer communications and documentation meet internal policy and compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with Cross-Functional Teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Production) to ensure customer satisfaction and to improve overall customer experience.

  • Meet performance targets, such as response time, satisfaction ratings, order accuracy and first-contact resolution.

Skills & Knowledge (e.g. computing, negotiating, leadership, project management)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and listening skills.

  • Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional during challenging interactions.

  • Strong problem solving ability, including confidence in troubleshooting and escalating issues appropriately.

  • Solid understanding of FMCG operations, including order cycles, logistics, and quality considerations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, with high accuracy in data entry and record management.

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage fastmoving workloads.

  • Previous experience processing orders, returns, and transactions is highly valuable.
