Job summary

Parks Victoria is seeking a Customer Service Officer in Morwell to deliver front-line visitor support, accurate information and high-quality service. You’ll assist with bookings, accommodation and camping facilities, welcome visitors and help maintain safe, enjoyable park experiences.

Work with a collaborative team to provide information across visitor services and commercial operations, resolve issues and support local planning.

Qualifications

  • Relevant knowledge and practical skills in customer service, visitor information, community engagement, environmental education or basic land management and maintenance.
  • Experience delivering customer service and operational activities under general supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative within established guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line visitor support with accurate information, assistance and high-quality service.
  • Support commercial operations, bookings, accommodation and camping services and retail sales.
  • Welcome and orientate customers and resolve issues to maintain high-quality visitor experiences.
  • Work with colleagues and contractors to maintain consistent service quality and contribute to local planning.

You'll also contribute to local operational planning and work collaboratively with colleagues and contractors to maintain consistent service quality.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver routine and moderately complex customer service and operational activities while contributing to safe, high-quality visitor experiences.Provide visitor information and support commercial activities, including bookings, accommodation and camping services and retail sales.Communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds and build constructive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.Work collaboratively as part of a safe, respectful and inclusive team.Use sound judgement and initiative to resolve operational issues and identify opportunities for service improvement.Engage positively with members of the public, volunteers and park users while representing Parks Victoria professionally.About YouYou are a customer-focused, reliable and collaborative team member who enjoys helping people and delivering positive visitor experiences.
