Job summary

Thales Group in Darwin is seeking a Customer Service Officer / Inventory Coordinator at the RAAF site. You will manage stock control systems and deliver excellent service to the Australian Defence Force.

Experience in inventory management and strong communication are essential. You’ll train staff, plan activities, maintain technical publications, and build relationships while upholding health and safety standards.

Within our logistics services business there are 17+ depots throughout Australia, allowing various development and progression opportunities. **YOUR ROLE** This is an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Officer / Inventory Coordinator to join our team at our Darwin RAAF site. You will be responsible for managing the inventory functions by operating our stock control computer system, whilst providing great customer service to our customer, the Australian Defence Force (ADF). This role is exciting, challenging and rewarding; no two days will be the same! As the first point of contact for our customer, the ADF, you will need a positive attitude, be an active listener with excellent attention to detail and the ability to think on your feet. In turn, we will provide you with the training and support needed to succeed. Based on the Darwin RAAF site, on Larrakia land, your role purpose will be :* Ensuring accurate operation of the electronic and manual inventory stock management system* Instruct and train staff as required and to ensure quality standards are maintained* Planning and controlling work activities, including resource allocation and time management* Maintain all Technical Publications relevant to the operation of the Inventory Office* Building & maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients* Demonstrating a personal commitment to all matters relating to health and safety **YOUR EXPERIENCE*** Relevant experience in a similar environment* Excellent communication skills at all levels* Knowledge of inventory management systems would be desirable* Experience within the Defence and/or Logistics environment would be highly advantageous **WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO APPLY** After you have applied, you will receive an email acknowledging your application.
