Job summary

Thales Group in Australia seeks an Installation, Integration & Test Technician for our Rydalmere NSW base. The role supports design, planning, installation and testing of communication system upgrades on defence projects, with occasional interstate travel.

Applicants should have an electronics/communications background, AQF Electrical/Electronic Systems qualification (or current study), and be eligible for NV1 clearance. On-site role with strong teamwork and documentation duties.

Qualifications

  • AQF Certificate/Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Systems or currently completing.
  • Practical experience on communication and/or electronic systems.
  • Computer literacy and ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of configuration management processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop installation documentation to support installation activities.
  • Install project-specific equipment.
  • Test new installations to ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.
  • Set to work of electronic and communication equipment/software to support sub-system and system level testing.
  • Ensure quality, workmanship, mentoring and task completion in support of the Project Team.

This role will require you to work in a small team, utilising your technical skills and knowledge to support the design, planning, installation and testing of communication systems upgrades on our Australian defence projects.
