Hastings St Bakery in Noosa Heads is seeking a Customer Service/Managers Assistant for a casual role. You will provide exceptional customer service at the counter and assist management with day-to-day operations in a welcoming bakery environment.

You will be the friendly face of our team, supporting stock rotation, displays, and cleanliness with weekend availability and a positive attitude. Casual hours include staff discounts on our baked goods.

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Service/Managers Assistant to join our team at Hastings St Bakery in Noosa Heads. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service whilst assisting management with day-to-day operations. You will be the friendly face of our bakery, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile, whilst supporting the team to maintain our high standards of service and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide efficient, courteous service at the counter
• Process customer transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system
• Assist with taking orders and answering customer inquiries about our products and offerings
• Support management with operational tasks such as stock rotation, display management and cleanliness standards
• Handle customer complaints professionally and elevate issues to management when necessary
• Maintain a clean and organised customer-facing area at all times
• Assist with light administrative duties as directed by management
• Support team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
• Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure product availability and presentation standards are met

• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality roles is highly desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for helping others

• Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems or willingness to learn quickly

• Food handling knowledge or willingness to obtain certification is an advantage
