Medibank Private Limited in Mackay is seeking a permanent full-time Customer Service and Sales Consultant at our Mackay store. This role includes a flexible rotating roster and some shifts from home as required.

You will help customers choose health cover and services, support them across in-store, phone, online and the community, build lasting relationships, and share ideas to improve how we work. Internal title: Local Community Consultant.

About the role

We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Customer Service and Sales Consultant at our Mackay store. This role is mainly based at our Mackay store with the opportunity to work some shifts from home as required.

This role includes a flexible rotating roster working Monday to Friday, with Saturday work requied during peak periods. The working hours rotate between 8am - 8pm, with main shift patterns between 9am - 5pm.

As the face of Medibank in your area, you will:

• Help customers choose the right health cover and services.
• Support them across multiple channels – in-store, over the phone, online, and in the community.
• Build lasting relationships and trust through personalised conversations.
• Solve everyday challenges and share ideas to improve how we work.

Internally referred to as a Local Community Consultant, you will be a part of a geographically based, cross-functional teams, with a shared goal to build stronger community connections, deepen trust, and deliver more personalised support in your area.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need health insurance experience – we’ll teach you that. If you have skills in customer service, sales, health, retail, or community engagement, you could be a great addition to our team.
