Job summary

Motion Asia Pacific Pty seeks an experienced field-based Territory Manager to grow a portfolio of major mining and heavy industrial accounts in Queensland. You will work with site-based maintenance and engineering teams, offering technical guidance and commercial solutions across bearings and power transmission products.

The role covers open-cut and underground coal operations, CHPPs, processing facilities, and heavy industrial sites, with travel across the region.

Qualifications

Job description

This is a field-based role responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of major resource and heavy industrial accounts across all mining regions in Queensland.

You will work closely with site-based maintenance and engineering teams, providing technical guidance and commercial solutions across installed equipment and new project opportunities.

Territory will include open-cut and underground coal operations, mineral processing facilities, CHPPs, bulk materials handling systems, heavy industrial sites, and mining contractors across the region.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Build and strengthen long-term partnerships with mining and industrial customers
• Identify opportunities to expand supply of bearings and power transmission products
• Support shutdowns, reliability initiatives, and plant improvement projects
• Pursue upgrade and project opportunities
• Conduct regular on-site visits to maintain strong customer engagement
• Provide technical recommendations aligned to operational requirements
• Manage commercial negotiations and account development strategies
• Maintain a structured territory plan to achieve revenue growth targets

What We’re Looking For

• A proven ability to build, manage and grow key customer accounts.
• Confidence engaging with Maintenance Managers, Reliability Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Procurement teams.
• Strong business-development skills and a proactive, results-focused approach.
• The ability to work independently in a regional, field-based role.
• Willingness to travel with a current and valid driver's license.

Desirable Experience And Qualifications

• Experience in the bearings and power transmission industry.
• Hands-on experience working with rotating machinery.
• Established networks within mining or heavy industry.
• Familiarity with mine-site access requirements and shutdown environments.
• A Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant trade background, such as Fitter & Turner,
