Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Mechanical Service Engineer for our Carborough Downs Mine Site in Queensland.

You will deliver hands-on mechanical support, troubleshoot underground mining equipment, and build lasting customer relationships to identify value-added service opportunities. This permanent, full-time role requires strong mechanical trade or engineering qualifications, safety-focused approach, and the ability to work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with heavy mobile or underground mining equipment.
• Proven fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships with on-site customers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with the customer at Carborough Downs.
• Provide mechanical technical support and troubleshooting for underground mining equipment.
• Understand equipment performance and maintenance needs with the customer.
• Identify opportunities for equipment overhauls, component rebuilds and parts sales.
• Provide practical technical advice to improve reliability and performance.
• Coordinate with Komatsu service, parts and support teams to meet customer needs.
• Act as the main liaison between the customer and Komatsu to ensure ongoing support.
• Uphold safe work practices and comply with site and Komatsu requirements.
