Job summary

Komatsu Underground is seeking a Mechanical Service Engineer to support the Carborough Downs mine site. The role blends hands-on mechanical expertise with strong customer engagement, delivering technical support and projects that add value through overhauls, rebuilds and parts sales.

You will work closely with customers, understand equipment needs, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure reliable performance and safe operations on site.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with underground mining equipment.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate with customers at site level.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with the customer at Carborough Downs.
• Provide mechanical technical support and troubleshooting for underground mining equipment.
• Understand equipment performance and maintenance needs with the customer to plan support.
• Identify opportunities for overhauls, rebuilds and parts sales.
• Provide practical technical advice to support reliability and performance.
• Coordinate with Komatsu service, parts and support teams to fulfill requirements.
