Job summary

Nambour Brake & Service Centre in Nambour, QLD seeks a proactive Service Advisor to welcome customers, explain repairs and keep them informed from booking to collection.

You will be the key link between customers and the workshop, arranging bookings, discussing estimates and providing progress updates to ensure a smooth, friendly visit. Prior service-advising or automotive admin experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience in service advising, automotive administration or customer service.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to explain estimates and repair information in plain language.

Responsibilities

• Make customers feel welcome — greet them, listen to concerns and manage vehicle check-ins and collections.
• Keep customers up to date — provide progress updates, explain changes and communicate expected completion times.
• Prepare and explain estimates — help customers understand the recommended work, costs and options.
• Confirm approval for work — obtain customer authorisation before proceeding with additional repairs.
• Manage bookings — coordinate appointments with the workshop to keep the day organised.
• Work closely with technicians — turn workshop findings into clear, straightforward information for customers.
• Follow through — follow up estimates, respond to enquiries and inform customers of next steps.
• Finish the visit well — prepare invoices, explain completed work and handle payments.
• Keep customer records accurate and reception tidy and welcoming.
