Craft & Soul in Manly is seeking a high-energy, customer-focused team member to help run the shop and support events. You’ll greet customers, assist with purchases and bookings, and keep the space looking fantastic while also managing stock, checklists and simple systems.
The role is casual/part-time, 20–30 hours per week, with a strong emphasis on organisation, tech readiness and a willingness to continuously improve processes.
Love people? Love making things run smoothly? Weirdly excited by a good spreadsheet, a spotless space and finding a smarter way to do something? We might be looking for you.
Craft & Soul is a creative community space in Manly where people come to learn, make, connect and have a really lovely time. We're looking for ahigh-energy, people-loving, seriously organised and tech-savvy personto join our team and help keep the whole place running beautifully.
This is a hands-on role. You'll be out front chatting to customers, helping people find what they need and making sure the shop feels fantastic — while also keeping on top of the systems, stock, operations and little details that make everything work behind the scenes. And yes, being crafty is a bonus. But you won't be crafting during your shift!Your job is to make sure everyone else has an amazing experience.
We'd love someone who sees a repetitive task and thinks:
"How could we make this easier?"
We're a small, growing business and we want to work smarter, not just harder.
We're looking for someone who iscomfortable with technology and genuinely curious about how it can improve the way we work.
You might already be comfortable with:
You don't need to be a programmer or an AI expert.
We're much more interested in someone who is curious and resourceful — the kind of person who will happily spend 20 minutes figuring out how to make a process better rather than doing the same annoying task every week forever.
This is important!
Craft & Soul is a physical space and keeping it clean, organised and beautiful is a huge part of the customer experience.
You'll be expected to:
If you genuinely enjoy tidying and organising, you'll probably love this job.
The person we're looking for is...
You naturally enjoy talking to people and making them feel welcome. You're warm, energetic and comfortable chatting to strangers.
You enjoy being busy, being on your feet and having lots happening around you. You don't wilt when things get hectic.
You like systems, checklists, organisation and getting things done. You notice inefficiencies and want to fix them.
You don't need someone standing over you telling you what to do. When you've finished one task, you look around and find the next useful thing.
You're comfortable learning new tools and figuring things out. You don't need to know everything — you need to be willing to work it out.
You've experimented with AI to solve problems, save time, create things or organise information — or you're genuinely excited to learn how.
You have an interest in craft, art, design, making or creativity. You don't need to be an expert — just genuinely interested.
A beautifully labelled cupboard makes you happy. A well-built spreadsheet is satisfying. You notice when things aren't where they should be.
This probably isn't the job for you if...
But if you love people, love a busy environment, get excited by systems and genuinely enjoy making things work better... we'd love to hear from you.
You might have experience in:
Butwe're much more interested in how you think and work than having the perfect resume.
You don't need to have done this exact job before. We're looking for someone who is reliable, switched-on, curious, energetic and takes pride in what they do.
