Job summary

YMCA South Australia is seeking a Customer Care Officer for The Parks Recreation & Sports Centre. You will greet visitors, assist with memberships and transactions, and provide key information about programs and services.

The role requires weekend and evening availability (4–9 PM). You will be the face of the centre, delivering excellent customer service and supporting daily operations with a welcoming, informed approach.

Qualifications

• CPR qualification or willingness to obtain HLTAID009.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience in a customer-focused role desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide information in person.
• Assist with memberships and transactions, including sales and information.
• Handle cash and POS transactions for café/merch sales.
• Support the smooth daily operations of the centre as the primary contact for customers.
• Maintain knowledge of services, bookings, events and emergency procedures.
