Job summary

Townsville Catholic Education seeks a Curriculum Leader - Religious Education at Southern Cross Catholic College in Townsville. This full-time, 3-year fixed-term appointment begins 18 January 2027, focusing on delivering high-quality RE aligned with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.

You will lead with Catholic ethos, mentor staff, translate data into improvement, and build collaborative teams while modelling integrity and community values in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Registered teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Extensive classroom experience.
• Deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
• Ability to lead and mentor others, build collaborative teams and translate data into meaningful improvement.
• Commitment to Catholic identity and mission.

Salary Range: $86,600 - $124,725 pending experience + Super + Middle Leader Allowance (Tier 2 = $13,024 per annum)

This is a full-time, permanent teachingrole witha 3 year fixed-termappointment to the Curriculum Leader - Religious Education position commencing18 Janaury 2027.

The role supports the Catholic identity and mission of Southern Cross Catholic College by ensuring Religious Education is delivered as a high quality academic discipline and is authentically connected to the faith life, mission and Marian tradition of the College.

Guided by Catholic values, you’ll demonstrate authentic leadership that nurtures faith, compassion and community. Your ability to model integrity, foster relationships and create an inclusive, supportive environment will be key to the ongoing success of both students and staff.

To thrive in this role, you will be a registered teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers and bring extensive classroom experience, together with a deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
