Job summary

Townsville Catholic Education is seeking a Primary Teacher (Student Engagement) for a fixed-term, full-time position in Townsville, QLD. The role commences 18 January 2027 and concludes 3 December 2027, with a salary range of $86,600–$124,725 plus super.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team, teach with contemporary practices, and collaborate with families to deliver inclusive, engaging learning experiences for every child.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications to teach in Queensland.
• Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or eligibility).
• Full-time commitment to a fixed-term contract for the school year.

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher (Student Engagement) with tertiary qualifications and registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers. This is aFull Time, Fixed Termcommencing 18 January 2027 and conclued on3 December 2027.

In this unique role, you’ll be teaching andjoining a supportive team of dedicated educators who work closely with families to create the best possible learning experience for every child. Your knowledge of contemporary teaching practices, combined with your ability to adapt and nurture a diverse range of learners, will ensure that each student feels included, valued, and confident as they begin their educational journey.

In your classroom, you’ll spark curiosity and a love of learning by designing engaging lessons, setting clear expectations, and continually reflecting on your practice to keep improving. You’ll use a range of assessment tools to understand each student’s progress, celebrate their growth, and give meaningful feedback that helps them thrive.
