Job summary

HOTA Gallery on the Gold Coast seeks a Curator to lead a diverse exhibition program including collection changeovers, touring shows, and the Children’s Gallery. You will work with the team to deliver high-quality visual arts experiences and grow new audiences while coordinating with external partners.

As part of a vibrant arts environment, you will apply your curatorial expertise, research and writing skills to shape public programs, events and publications.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in art history, curatorial studies or related field or 3+ years' relevant experience.
• Strong research, writing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate curatorial concepts into accessible content.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver innovative exhibition programs (including Children’s Gallery and awards).
• Collaborate with Exhibitions, Education, Marketing and Visitors Services teams.
• Produce high-quality written content for catalogues, labels and online platforms.
• Manage contracts, artist engagements and travel logistics for projects.
• Deliver talks, tours and audience engagement activities.
