Bannisters Port Stephens in Soldiers Point is seeking culinary professionals from Commis Chef through to Chef de Partie to join our dynamic team across Rick Stein at Bannisters, Julio's Restaurant, and the Cheeky Dog.

The role offers diverse outlets in a relaxed luxury setting, opportunities for growth, and a collaborative kitchen culture within Salter Brothers Hospitality. Relocation or local travel to the NSW South Coast is supported.

Qualifications

• Recognised Chef trade qualification required.
• Passion for food, hospitality and culinary excellence.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced service environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional culinary experiences that exceed guest expectations.
• Assist with preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes.
• Collaborate with senior chefs to ensure quality and efficient service.
• Take ownership of a kitchen section during service (Chef de Partie level).
• Mentor junior kitchen team members (Chef de Partie level).
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory management, and minimising wastage.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and workplace health standards.
