Job summary

Holiday Inn is seeking a Cook/Chef with a passion for presentation, flavour and high standards from workspace to table. You’ll turn meals into a feast for the eyes and palate, while ensuring safety and cleanliness across the kitchen.

Join a team that values flexibility with a rotating roster including weekends and holidays. A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) is required, plus the ability to lift up to 23 kg and comply with local food-handling laws.

Qualifications

• Great communication and customer-facing skills preferred.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
• Strong reading, writing and basic maths abilities.
• Compliance with local food handling laws and language requirements.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and bend/kneel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Make every meal a feast for the eyes and palate.
• Own your workstation: manage supplies, equipment and waste.
• Maintain cleanliness to meet hygiene standards.
• Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties as required.
• Be a proactive team player with ad-hoc duties.
