Job summary

St John of God Murdoch Hospital is seeking a CSSD Supervisor to lead a 13–15-person team, ensuring efficient processing of operating room instruments and adherence to decontamination, sterilisation, and distribution standards. The role offers a part-time contract with a minimum of 4 shifts per week and mentorship to develop leadership skills.

Qualifications

Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or equivalent).
Minimum of three years’ experience in hospital CSSD environment.
Practical knowledge of sterilisation processes, infection control standards, and equipment handling.

Responsibilities

Provide daily supervision and support to CSSD staff alongside the CSSD Manager.
Monitor processing activities according to standards and IFUs; delegate workload and foster teamwork.
Manage decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilizing processes.
Maintain equipment and inventory; ensure safety, quality, and patient outcomes.
