Job summary

Forster Private Hospital is seeking an experienced CSSD Technician to join our team. The CSSD Technician you will be responsible for the reprocessing and sterilisation of surgical instruments and equipment to the Operating Theatres and clinical areas within the hospital.

This position would suit both experienced CSSD Technicians as well as those currently studying for a health-related discipline at a tertiary level.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Sterilisation (or working towards).
• Minimum 2 years’ CSSD experience with cleaning, decontaminating, sorting and assembling trays.
• Experience as Instrument Technician with current knowledge of sterilising services.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating roster including weekends.
• Be coachable and able to perform under pressure.
• NSW Police Check
• WWC Check

Responsibilities

• Reprocess and sterilise surgical instruments and equipment for the Operating Theatres and clinical areas.
• Support CSSD team with adherence to sterilisation standards.
• Maintain documentation and quality checks.
• Assist with inventory and equipment handling.
