Nexus Hospitals Bunbury Day Hospital is seeking a Casual CSSD Technician to support sterile processing and instrument care within our busy perioperative environment. You will play a key role in preparing the CSSD, ensuring clean and sterile instruments, and maintaining accurate documentation to support patient safety.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Sterilisation Technician in a hospital environment.
• Proven knowledge of sterilisation procedures and infection control standards.
• Familiarity with AS 5369:2023 and related infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for safe surgery by ensuring CSSD and equipment are ready for sterile procedures.
• Clean, sterilise, inspect and package surgical instruments to protocol.
• Maintain documentation and ensure stock is available for perioperative staff.
• Adhere to sterilisation standards and infection control measures at all times.
• Guide and support colleagues to promote safe practice and teamwork.
• Champion continuous improvement in safety and overall hospital standards.
