Job summary

SESLHD is seeking a Health Manager Level 1 to lead the Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD) at The Sutherland Hospital in Caringbah, Sydney. The role covers operational management, budgeting and human resources to support the delivery of high-quality services.

You will drive a culture of quality, continuous improvement and staff development to achieve organisational goals within the NSW Health system.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of Sterilizing Services processes and ability to monitor and manage work priorities to adjust workflow.
• Ability to lead and develop a department and staff.
• Interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.
• Management experience in a team-oriented workplace preferred.
• Knowledge of basic economics, budgeting, and accounting principles.
• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Knowledge of employment practices and employee relations.
• Excellent organisational management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operational, budgetary responsibilities/activities of the CSSD.
• Develop an employee-oriented departmental culture focused on quality, continuous improvement and high performance.
