Job summary

Diraq is seeking an Electronics Engineer to design and validate cryogenic test infrastructure for quantum hardware. You will shape electronic test platforms, enabling measurement of devices at cryogenic temperatures, and work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to advance quantum technologies.

The role covers electronic design, hardware integration, laboratory testing and systems engineering, with hands-on lab work and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline.
• Experience in electronics design, hardware development, test engineering or related environments.
• Strong fundamentals in analogue/digital electronics, grounding, shielding, power distribution and measurement principles.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using Altium Designer or equivalent.
• Ability to bring up, test, debug and modify electronic hardware.
• Experience with lab instruments like oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analysers, signal generators, SMUs and DMMs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and root-cause analysis across complex hardware systems.
• Hands-on experience with soldering, PCB rework, cable assembly, connectors and prototype construction.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles, requirements, interface management, verification/validation and configuration control.
• Ability to analyse measurement data and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Electronic Design and Development: design schematics and PCBs for cryogenic test systems, including signal routing and control electronics.
• Develop wiring assemblies, test fixtures and supporting lab infrastructure.
• Select components and contribute to hardware architecture decisions considering performance, manufacturability, reliability and cost.
