Tradewind Australia is seeking compassionate Crisis Support Workers for a men’s accommodation program in Rockhampton, QLD. Casual/locum roles offer immediate start with a mix of day, afternoon and sleepover shifts.

You will provide end-to-end support from intake to exit, stabilising clients and guiding them toward safe housing, with focus on complex needs including mental health. Experience in crisis settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Community Services or related field.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations, including homelessness or mental health.
• Strong case management and advocacy skills.
• Ability to engage clients with empathy, respect and professionalism.
• Resilience and confidence working in crisis or complex environments.

Responsabilités

• Provide holistic, client-centred support from intake through to exit.
• Deliver case management focused on housing outcomes and independence.
• Conduct needs and risk assessments, including safety planning.
• Support clients to access stable accommodation and relevant services.
• Advocate on behalf of clients with housing providers and external services.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and referral networks.
• Maintain accurate and timely case notes and documentation.
• Assist with day-to-day operations of the accommodation service as required.
