RSPCA NSW is seeking an experienced Case Worker for the Crisis Support Programs to support clients and their pets across aged care, domestic violence, homelessness, and related programs.

The role requires availability for rotating weekend on-call rosters, willingness to respond to urgent issues outside regular hours, and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to uphold the human-animal bond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, community welfare or equivalent (essential).
• Current and unrestricted driver’s license (essential).
• Experience with vulnerable individuals/families in aged care/domestic violence/homelessness/mental health/disability sectors.
• Case management experience (essential).
• Experience in comprehensive needs assessment.
• Decisiveness in emotionally charged situations and ability to exercise discretionary authority.

Responsabilités

• Review cases referred by Intake Officer.
• Evaluate requirements for each enquiry and determine access to services.
• Conduct risk assessments for transport jobs with staff/volunteers.
• Maintain positive client relationships and develop external agency partnerships.
• Ensure communication with all required parties regarding client and animal welfare.
• Record keeping of interactions for Crisis Support Programs.
