Job summary

Punchline Excavations is seeking an experienced pipe layer foreman to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This full-time role involves supervising a crew, interpreting drawings, and directing pipe laying work on site, with a focus on safety and quality.

You will operate trenching equipment, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and help manage progress, materials, and labour hours to ensure projects are completed to spec.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising pipe laying teams in construction.
• Strong knowledge of pipe laying methods and equipment.
• Ability to read construction plans and specs.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to health and safety on site.
• Valid driver’s licence and construction tickets.
• Sydney water accreditation required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of pipe layers and coordinate their daily activities to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to plan and direct the pipe laying work
• Operate machinery and equipment required for pipe laying, such as backhoes and trench diggers
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed on site
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used and labour hours
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to less experienced pipe layers

Punchline Excavations is seeking an experienced Pipe layer foreman to join our team in Sydney, NSW. Must have Sydney water accreditation and to be key personnel. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the installation of underground pipes and ensuring the efficient and safe completion of pipe laying projects. Wages or Sub contractor rates can be negotiated, also fuel vehicle and phone provided

What you'll be doing

• Supervise a team of pipe layers and coordinate their daily activities to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
