Qualifications

• Strong safety focus around trenches.

Motive civil and plant hire - Bathurst NSW

Motive civil and Plant Hire | Full-time | $45/hr + super

We're a civil contractor delivering subdivision, drainage and council infrastructure projects across the Central West. We're looking for an experienced Pipelayer or Civil Plumber to join our crew on stormwater, sewer and water main works.

What you'll do

• Lay stormwater, sewer and water mains to line and grade using a pipe laser
• Prepare trenches, bedding, haunching and backfill to spec
• Install pits, manholes, headwalls, junctions and property connections
• Work safely around open trenches using shoring, trench shields and benching
• Pressure test, air test and mandrel test, and help with CCTV inspections
• Make live connections and tie-ins to existing services (licensed plumbers)
• Read drawings and work to council and water authority standards
• Spot and protect existing services before and during excavation
• Help keep the site tidy and set up erosion and sediment controls

About you

• 3+ years' civil pipelaying experience (subdivisions, council or utility works)
• Experience with PVC, PE, RCP and DICL pipe, plus rubber ring and electrofusion joints
• Confident using a pipe laser, dumpy or GPS for grade
• A strong safety focus, especially in and around trenches
• Reliable and a good team player, happy to pitch in with general civil work
• White Card and a current driver's license required
• A NSW plumbing/drainage license is highly regarded, and required for connection work
• Confined space, gas detection, traffic control or plant tickets are a bonus
• Local projects with no FIFO, home every night
• Steady pipeline of subdivision and council work
• Good crew and a clear path to leading hand or supervisor
