Job summary

An opportunity exists for a highly experienced Water/Sewer Pipelayer to join a leading civil infrastructure contractor working on major projects across the Sydney metropolitan area. This role is suited to a professional with a minimum of five years’ experience in water infrastructure installation and who has previously held Sydney Water Key Personnel status.

The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of high-quality water and sewer infrastructure in accordance with Sydney Water

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ demonstrated experience in water/sewer pipe laying.
• Sydney Water Key Personnel status (or eligible for re-accreditation).
• Current White Card (Construction Induction).
• Confined Space Entry and Excavation/Trenching tickets (highly regarded).
• Thorough knowledge of Sydney Water standards and installation procedures.
• Proven ability to work independently and maintain high-quality workmanship.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Installation of water, sewer, and stormwater pipelines in line with drawings and Sydney Water standards.
• Interpretation of construction plans, specifications, and levels.
• Safe and effective use of pipe-laying tools and equipment, including laser levels and trench support systems.
• Coordination with supervisors and plant operators to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintenance of site safety and compliance with regulations and procedures.
