Job summary

Saputo Dairy Australia is seeking a proactive Credit Officer to manage credit risk and collections across a debtor portfolio. You will work with customers, store managers and internal teams to support timely payments and resolve inquiries, ensuring adherence to credit terms and company policies.

The role requires experience in credit or accounts receivable, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit, accounts receivable or a related accounting role.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Experience using credit management systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage collections and follow up outstanding customer payments.
• Monitor debtor accounts and ensure compliance with agreed credit terms.
• Process and allocate incoming payments accurately.
• Conduct credit risk assessments for new and existing customers.
• Resolve account queries and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
• Build strong relationships with customers, store managers and sales teams.
• Prepare reports and analysis relating to debtor performance and bad debts.
• Apply credit policies and escalate higher-risk matters when required.
