Metcash is Australia’s leading wholesale distributor, with a strong focus on independent retailers. We are seeking a Credit Officer to join the Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM) division in Canning Vale, working in a hybrid model with three days on-site and two days remote.

You will manage end-to-end credit lifecycles, assess applications, review financial information, monitor customer performance, and drive timely payments while balancing risk and commercial outcomes in a collaborative,

About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, based at our Canning Vale office. Operating in a hybrid work environment, you'll work on-site three days per week while enjoying the flexibility of working remotely for the remainder of the week.

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end credit lifecycle of customer accounts, balancing commercial outcomes with effective credit risk management. Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in optimising cash flow, reducing financial risk, and maintaining strong customer relationships that support the ongoing success of the business.

You’re Likely a Match If

• Strong understanding of credit risk principles and cash collection strategies
• Experience in end to end credit control environment
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Understanding of overdue debt levels and ageing profile
• Ability to balance commercial outcomes with risk management
• High attention to detail with strong documentation discipline
