Job summary

Metcash Limited is seeking a driven field sales professional to own a portfolio of On and Off-Premise accounts across WA. You will cultivate strong retailer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and expand the customer base in a dynamic liquor market.

Ideal candidates bring liquor industry insight, strong communication and CRM skills, and a customer-first mindset. This role offers regional autonomy, collaboration with ALM, and pathways for career progression within Metcash.

Qualifications

• Sales or account management experience in liquor preferred.
• Knowledge of On-Premises liquor industry is a plus.
• Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service.
• Proficient with MS Office tools and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales with existing customers + drive Supplier sales through ALM.
• Gain new sales via increased customer base.
• Sell On-Premises promotional programs, activations, and initiatives to On-Premises customers.
• Develop strong relationships with venue stakeholders in On and Off-Premise trade within territory and customer base.
• Maintain call cycle and territory plan as set out in ALM sales tools including CRM.
• Sell in ALM On Premise initiatives and EDM promotional activity.
• Promote the benefits of ALM On Premise incl socials, ALM Connect, ASK ALM portal.

About The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join ALM and take ownership of a portfolio of On and Off-Premise customers across WA, building strong relationships while identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and win new business.

In this Role

• Grow sales with existing customers + drive Supplier sales through ALM
• Gain new sales via increased customer base
• Sell On-Premises promotional programs, activations, and initiatives to all called on On-Premises customers
• Develop strong relationships with all the venue stakeholders in the On and Off-Premise trade within the given territory and designated customer base
• Maintain call cycle and territory plan as set out in the ALM sales tools including CRM

You’re Likely a Match If

• Sales and operation experience within the liquor industry, preferably the Perth Metropolitan On and Off-Premises liquor trade.
• Sound knowledge of the On-Premises liquor industry
• Proven history of excellence in customer service
• Minimum Intermediate Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows 10
• Excellent verbal + written communication skills
