Job summary

Randstad Australia partners with a thriving, market-leading commercial equipment business in Melbourne. This leadership role focuses on hands-on credit strategy, coaching a high-performing Accounts Receivable team and refining processes as the business grows, with reporting to the Financial Controller.

You will bring 5+ years in a similar AR/credit function, experience in commercial/transport/manufacturing sectors, relevant accounting qualifications, and proven stakeholder management.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a similar AR/credit role.
  • Experience in the commercial/ transport/ manufacturing domain.
  • Relevant Accounting / Finance qualifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and use initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Management and support of Accounts Receivable Team.
  • Manage, monitor and control the AR function with KPIs and resources.
  • Oversee transaction and bill processing including month-end reconciliations.
  • Administer debtor accounts in line with debt collection procedures.
  • Handle customer claims and payment plan escalations.
  • Ensure professional debt collection and positive customer experience.

In this role, you’ll get to blend in with leadership and have hands-on credit strategy, coaching a supportive team and helping refine how things are done as the business grows. You'll be reporting into the Financial Controller.

Your responsibilities:
  • Management and support of Accounts Receivable Team.
  • Manage, monitor and control the accounts receivable function ensuring delivery of the function’s KPIs and efficient and effective management of resources.
  • Oversee the transaction and bill processing including month-end reconciliation processes in conjunction with relevant business units.
  • Manage and oversee practices to ensure the administration of all debtor accounts in line with the companies debt collection procedure
  • Customer claim / dispute resolution
  • Escalation of all payment plan requests to the Credit Controller
  • Manage all administration and debt collection activities with a professional and compassionate manner, and ensure a positive customer experience for customers.
What experience will you have:
  • 5+ year's experience in a similar or related role preferred
  • Experience in the commercial/ transport/ manufacturing domain
  • Relevant Accounting / Finance qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to manage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to use initiative and be proactive
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong work ethic, diligence, integrity
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous
