Job summary

Randstad partners with a leading commercial equipment business in Australia, seeking a capable leader to drive Accounts Receivable and coach a high-performing team. The role reports to the Financial Controller and focuses on implementing effective credit strategies and processes in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

You will oversee AR operations, build strong internal and external relationships, and contribute to refining ways of working as the business scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AR/Accounts Receivable or related leadership role
• Experience in commercial/transport/manufacturing sectors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Proactive approach and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Accounts Receivable team
• Monitor and control AR KPIs and resource management
• Oversee transaction and bill processing including month-end reconciliations
• Manage debtor accounts per company debt collection procedures
• Handle customer claims and dispute resolution
• Escalate payment plan requests to Credit Controller
• Ensure professional and compassionate debt collection and positive customer experience

In this role, you'll get to blend in with leadership and have hands‑on credit strategy, coaching a supportive team and helping refine how things are done as the business grows. You'll be reporting into the Financial Controller.

Your responsibilities:

• Management and support of Accounts Receivable Team.
• Manage, monitor and control the accounts receivable function ensuring delivery of the function's KPIs and efficient and effective management of resources.
• Oversee the transaction and bill processing including month-end reconciliation processes in conjunction with relevant business units.
• Manage and oversee practices to ensure the administration of all debtor accounts in line with the companies debt collection procedure
• Customer claim / dispute resolution
• Escalation of all payment plan requests to the Credit Controller
• Manage all administration and debt collection activities with a professional and compassionate manner, and ensure a positive customer experience for customers.

What experience will you have:

• 5+ year's experience in a similar or related role preferred
• Experience in the commercial/ transport/ manufacturing domain
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to manage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to use initiative and be proactive
• Detail-oriented and meticulous
