Job summary

IG Design Group is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Dandenong South, full time and onsite. You’ll manage debtor accounts, allocate payments, follow up overdue balances and resolve discrepancies to support strong cash flow.

Reporting to the Credit Manager, you’ll liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate ledgers, perform month-end tasks and maintain effective credit control processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable (2+ years).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good numerical skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel; SAP experience preferred but not required.
• Interest in AI models such as Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot.
• Self-motivated team player who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Process and allocate customer payments.
• Follow up overdue accounts and discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve items.
• Maintain debtor accounts and prepare statements.
• Assist with month-end reporting.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams on issues.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Dandenong South - Full time and on Onsite.

Reporting to the Credit Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining debtor accounts, allocating payments, following up overdue balances and resolving account discrepancies. You’ll also work closely with customers, Sales and the wider Finance team to support strong cash flow and effective credit management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and allocate customer payments
• Follow up overdue accounts, short payments and discrepancies
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve outstanding items
• Maintain new and existing debtor accounts
• Generate debtor statements and assist with month-end reporting
• Liaise with customers and internal teams regarding account issues and collection risks
• Monitor expected receipts and escalation potential payment concerns
• Managing competing priorities and tasks

What we are looking for:

• 2+ years’ experience in Credit Control and/or Accounts Receivable
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel- you need to be a numbers person!
• SAP experience preferred, but not essential- we can train the right person
• Interest in and exposure to AI models (such as Claude, Chat GPT or Copilot)
• A self-motivated team player who can also work independently
