Job summary

IG Design Group is a fast-growing global supplier of catalogue and private label products to leading retailers across Australia, with a head office in Dandenong South. We’re looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team, onsite and full-time.

You’ll maintain debtor accounts, allocate payments, chase overdue balances and support cash flow. Strong Excel and SAP experience preferred; AI model exposure welcome.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process and allocate customer payments.
• Follow up overdue accounts, short payments and discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve outstanding items.
• Maintain new and existing debtor accounts.
• Generate debtor statements and assist with month-end reporting.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams regarding account issues and collection risks.
• Monitor expected receipts and mitigate payment concerns.
• Manage competing priorities and tasks.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Dandenong South - Full time and on Onsite.

Reporting to the Credit Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining debtor accounts, allocating payments, following up overdue balances and resolving account discrepancies. You’ll also work closely with customers, Sales and the wider Finance team to support strong cash flow and effective credit management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and allocate customer payments
• Follow up overdue accounts, short payments and discrepancies
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve outstanding items
• Maintain new and existing debtor accounts
• Generate debtor statements and assist with month-end reporting
• Liaise with customers and internal teams regarding account issues and collection risks
• Monitor expected receipts and escape potential payment concerns
• Managing competing priorities and tasks

What we are looking for:

• 2+ years’ experience in Credit Control and/or Accounts Receivable
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel- you need to be a numbers person!
• SAP experience preferred, but not essential- we can train the right person
• Interest in and exposure to AI models (such as Claude, Chat GPT or Copilot)
• A self-motivated team player who can also work independently
