Job summary

Maestro Hospitality is hiring a casual Pastry Chef to join our Italian dining precinct at Crown Sydney.

You will prepare and plate desserts, pastries and sweet creations, working with traditional Italian flavours and modern techniques, while supporting the pastry section under the senior kitchen team.

You bring pastry experience, strong baking skills, creativity, and a commitment to high standards and food safety; Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pastry Chef in a restaurant, hotel or high-quality kitchen.
• Strong pastry, baking and dessert skills.
• Commitment to presentation, accuracy and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate desserts, pastries and other sweet items.
• Work with traditional Italian flavours and modern techniques.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the pastry section.
• Contribute ideas for seasonal desserts and menu development.
• Maintain mise en place, presentation and consistency.
• Monitor product quality, stock levels and preparation needs.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with the wider kitchen team.
