Job summary

Frontline Recruitment Group in Cleveland QLD seeks a Head Chef to take ownership of the kitchen at a renovated heritage venue overlooking Moreton Bay. You will shape the menus, lead premium dining, and craft wedding and function catering to create memorable dining experiences.

This hands-on leadership position requires a commercially minded chef with senior kitchen management experience, strong menu development skills, and a proven ability to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' commercial kitchen experience with senior management.
• Proven experience in premium dining, weddings and large-scale events.
• Strong menu development and seasonal specials.
• Experience designing wedding menus, banquet packages, and functions catering.
• Sound understanding of food costing, purchasing, and stock control.
• Proven ability to recruit, lead, train and develop a kitchen team.
• Hands-on leadership with front-line presence during busy services.

Responsibilities

• Own the kitchen operation and lead from the front.
• Shape the food offering and menus for weddings, functions and premium dining.
• Develop seasonal menus and weekly specials.
• Design wedding menus, banquet packages, canapés and catering for events.
• Monitor food costing, purchasing and stock control to maintain profitability.
• Recruit, train and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
• Ensure food safety, compliance and consistent presentation standards.
