Job summary

THE TRUSTEE FOR THE GRAMPIANS TRUST in Hobart, TAS, seeks a trade-qualified Chef with 3+ years’ experience to join a busy, creative kitchen. You’ll work alongside the Head Chef and may run the kitchen on days off, delivering high-quality, à la carte dining in a vibrant venue.

Expect a hands-on role with strong teamwork, attention to detail, and input into menu planning. All applicants must have Australian working rights and be prepared for a National Police Check.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification with three or more years' experience.
• Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
• Produces consistent quality.
• Positive, 'can do' attitude.
• Own traditional uniform and knives.
• Experience in quality à la carte dining.
• Keen eye with high attention to detail.
• Willing to assist with menu planning and suggestions.

Responsibilities

• You will work alongside the Head Chef and run the kitchen on days off.
• Prepare and plate high-quality, à la carte dishes.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and stock control where required.
