Job summary

Stellarossa Nerang in Nerang, QLD is seeking a full-time Chef to join our busy kitchen and create delicious, innovative dishes. You'll prepare and cook a variety of plates, manage inventory, maintain hygiene, and work with the Head Chef to develop new menu items. Flexibility to work weekends is required and prior chef experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Creative flair and passion for experimenting with new flavors and techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management or above is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and Manager to develop new menu items.
• Ensure the highest quality and presentation of all dishes.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth service.
