Are you interested in Technical Covert Surveillance and being part of a team responsible for delivering high quality work to the Commission’s Operational network? This is a fixed-term five-year contract with the possibility of a further contract and/or extension. Suitable applicants may be considered for other similar vacancies within the next 12 months. This is a full-time position.

The WORKING ENVIRONMENT The Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose primary purpose is to strengthen the integrity of the public sector, reduce corruption and disrupt criminal activity for the benefit of our community. The Operational Support directorate is responsible for the delivery of high-quality capabilities to the Commission's serious misconduct and unexplained wealth investigations. This includes the effective delivery of covert surveillance and electronic collection activities.

The OPPORTUNITY The Covert Surveillance Capabilities team provides integrated physical and technical surveillance support to complex investigations, intelligence activities and operational priorities. The team is continuing to expand its capabilities and offers opportunities to work with a range of surveillance technologies, contribute to capability development and support high-profile operational activities. The Covert Surveillance Technical Team Member is responsible for providing specialist technical surveillance capability in support of operations conducted by the commission. The position is responsible for delivering technical surveillance outcomes, providing specialist technical advice and contributing to the ongoing development of the Commission's surveillance capabilities, technologies and operational practices.

The Commission requires applicants to be Australian citizens or be immediately eligible for citizenship, and employment is conditional on you possessing and maintaining a national security classification of LEVEL 1 – NEGATIVE VETTING or higher. Additionally, appointment to this position is conditional on the satisfactory completion of psychological and medical testing.
