Job summary

G4S Australia and New Zealand is hiring for a Full Time Security Officer at the County Court in Melbourne CBD. The role involves providing friendly customer service, conducting X-ray screening, roving patrols, managing access control, and writing reports to keep the courtroom safe and orderly.

Candidates must hold a current Victorian Security Licence and Certificate II in Security Operations; First Aid/CPR is desirable.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Security Licence (required).
• Certificate II in Security Operations (required).
• First Aid Accreditation and CPR qualification is desirable.
• Willingness to complete a 4-week, fully paid, on-the-job training program.
• Available to work Monday–Friday in the Melbourne CBD.

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly and efficient customer service to everyone who enters the facility.
• Conducting X-ray screening to detect and remove prohibited items from entering.
• Roving security patrols inside and outside of the building.
• Conflict resolution and negotiation.
• Managing access control systems.
• Writing detailed and accurate reports.
• Monitoring and responding within courtrooms.
• Working alongside Corrections Victoria and Victoria Police PSOs.
