Job summary

G4S Australia is seeking a Court Security Officer to join our Heidelberg and Bundoora hub on a full-time basis. You will work daytime hours Monday to Friday with on-site training provided and progression to an Authorised Officer of the Courts after completion.

You'll perform x-ray screening, manage access, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents, ensuring courts remain safe and orderly. A Victorian security licence, Certificate II/III in Security Operations, and first aid certification are

Qualifications

• Certificate II or III in Security Operations is required.
• Current Victorian security licence is required.
• Current first aid accreditation is required.
• Willingness to travel between Heidelberg and Bundoora Courts.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional customer service to anyone entering the court.
• Conducting x-ray screening, using metal detectors and searching individuals for prohibited items.
• Roving security patrols within and external to the building.
• Conflict resolution and negotiation.
• Acting as a first responder to any incidents that may occur.
• Managing access and control rooms.
