Job summary

G4S Australia and New Zealand is seeking professional, well-presented Security Officers for the Victorian County Court in Melbourne CBD. You will provide customer service, conduct screening, and maintain security across the court precinct.

In this role, you will work a full-time schedule with paid training, joining a market-leading security provider operating globally. You will collaborate with law enforcement and court staff to ensure safety and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Security Licence.
• Minimum Certificate II in Security Operations.
• First Aid Accreditation and CPR Qualification (Desired).
• Willing to renew/complete first aid and CPR.
• Able to complete a 4-week fully paid, on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service to visitors and staff.
• Conduct X-ray screening to detect prohibited items.
• Roaming security patrols inside/outside the building.
• Manage access control systems.
• Write detailed and accurate reports of incidents.
• Monitor and respond within courtrooms as required.
• Coordinate with Corrections Victoria and Victoria Police PSOs.
• Assist with maintaining safety and order in the court environment.

About the role and team:

Our team at Court Services Victoria keeps the courts and tribunals and the people who attend them safe, secure and orderly. For people living with family violence, court security also makes the experience of attending court safer and less confronting.

We are currently seeking professional, well-presented security personnel to work as Security Officers at the Victorian County Court in Melbourne CBD.

Duties in the role include:

• Providing friendly and efficient customer service to everyone who enters the facility
• Conducting X-ray screening to detect and remove prohibited items from entering
• Roving security patrols inside and outside of the building
• Conflict resolution and negotiation
• Managing access control systems
• Writing detailed and accurate reports
• Monitoring and responding within courtrooms
• Working alongside Corrections Victoria and Victoria Police PSOs

What we're looking for:

• A current Victorian Security Licence
• Minimum of Certificate II in Security Operations
• First Aid Accreditation and CPR Qualification (Desired - not essential, but willing to renew or complete)
• Available to complete a 4-week, fully paid, full-time training program that is completed on the job
• Able to work Monday-Friday in the Melbourne CBD
